PUBLIC POLICY

A change in public policy rarely occurs without a long arduous process. Creating new policy or changing policy requires collaboration across disparate groups, a multi-step public process, and the buy-in of the general population. Politicians represent the people's interests. Businesses and private entities wield great influence. Experts and academics provide key theories and ideas. Government red tape can further complicate the effort. From water management to energy policy to immigration, the Public Conversations Project works with individual government bodies and groups aiming to improve public policy:
  • Bringing partisan stakeholders together to work on policies
  • Designing and facilitating meetings
  • Consulting at local, state, and federal levels
